I have put together a few products I have in my person collection that are must haves for me and my daily routine. I feel these beauty products should be included in every rockabilly mamas collection. The product details are listed below. What products in your collection are must haves?
The makeup products above are what I use on a daily basis and I feel they are fast and last all day! I need products that allow me to apply them fast since I have a toddler.
*Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, MAC Studio Finish Concealer (I switch between the two), The Balm Hot Mama Blush, Loreal Infallible Felt Tip Eyeliner (perfect for the quick cat eye), MAC Mineralize Pressed Powder, Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry (I swear by this when I’m not wearing lipstick), Makeup bag from Forever 21 a few years ago.
Here are a few additional products I love to use when I like to add a bit more to my daily makeup routine.
*MAC Prolong Wear Lipstick in Prolong (the best and longest wearing red ever!), Korres Lip Gloss in Red (this is made with cherry oil so it smells amazing. I love this brand because they are non toxic. I usually add a tiny bit on top of the MAC lipstick if I want a bit of shine or if my lips are a bit dry that day), Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn (the holy grail of brows and applies super easy and flawless), Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry, Makeup bag by Fluff, and Lipstick case from TJ Maxx.
I swear by dry shampoo! I try to wash my hair every other day, sometimes a day longer so dry shampoo is my best friend. I have tried a ton of them but I have only found that Batiste works the best and it is affordable compared to some of the high end products that work great but they are closer to $20 (Sebastian). I love that one as well but I am on a budget so Batiste works for me! I get the cherry scented one, they have a full collection of scents so you can find the one that suits you.
Next is the Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play Harder Hairspray. I cannot live without this either. I feel it works for everyday hair when I leave it down or in a pomp and a ponytail, but also when I do vintage styles like victory rolls this works perfectly no matter what style I choose. You must try!
Finally, you must start a bandana and hair scarf collection. My hair routine is typically down and straightened on the first day I wash, the next day I will put it in a pompadour and ponytail or up in a bandana. I can get away with this style for 2 days. It is my lifesaver during the week when I have to get things done around the house and need a quick hairstyle.
I hope you enjoyed my list of beauty products for the rockabilly mama. Stay tuned for the 5 Minute Bandana Hairstyle.
Yours Truly,
Jessica
